Coaching is about healing through compassion. Dr. Lisa Kopp, ND is a Naturopathic Doctor. She appreciates the importance of balancing therapies from both conventional and naturopathic medicine when creating a treatment plan to help heal her patients. Lisa enjoys the opportunity to educate her patients during each visit to empower them to be more engaged in their lives. Lisa enjoys traveling with her family. She is a devoted wife and a nurturing mom to her beautiful daughters. She loves spending time with her family and friends. Though she has plenty of responsibilities on her plate, she’s never too busy to make one of her amazing cheesecakes and take time to celebrate with her friends.

Lisa helps people all day long. The naturopathic philosophy is to stimulate the healing power of the body and treat the underlying cause of disease. It was fun to get to know Lisa’s passion for people and to learn a little more about how she applies a coach mindset to her conversations in her diverse offerings both personally and professionally.

Lisa’s journey to coaching began a few years ago. Someone she admires, left a job at Microsoft and became a coach. After having her second daughter, Lisa was looking to add another skill to her toolbox and sought out an opportunity to train with Canada Coach Academy. Lisa enjoys the dynamic of a coaching conversation. She gets excited about the process of helping someone discover their true passion, become more aware of roadblocks, clarify their goals and find their answer within. As a coach, she helps clients through a powerful process of self-awareness.

Lisa’s mission is helping people discover and culture their true passion. She believes that most of us are already on our path, but need to fine tune. Coaching helps with that process. Lisa believes that the process of self-mastery includes a number of small steps. Understanding and defining these steps, help us discover our passion on our path. She loves to help people discover and achieve their goals.

The first aspect Lisa noticed about coaching, is that she doesn’t have to solve everything. This allows a degree of separation. There is a perspective of distance from her and the issue someone is trying to resolve. But Lisa holds true to her role in healing in a compassionate manor. The coaching mindset helps establish boundaries for her within the conversation when supporting those within her reach. Coaching is about compassion. She loves the “Ah-ha” moments.

Lisa has a passion to help those around her and empowering them to help themselves. She loves to help educate. She loves to share knowledge and she loves to learn from others. When I asked Lisa about how coaching fits within her practice, Lisa shared that coaching has supported her conversations, allowing her patients to talk more. Adding a coaching element allows her to keep the focus on them. She loves the patients and coaching clients that she attracts, and she finds them both motivating and inspirational. Coaching provides another avenue for Lisa to help people heal. We look forward to hearing more about Lisa as she continues to bring healing opportunities to those within her reach.
